Monday, August 05, 2013
Keen to achieve its goals aimed at shifting to e-solutions when providing its services to customers, Abu Dhabi Business Center (ADBC) of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) has launched numerous payment options with respect to all commercial licenses transactions, procedures and fees in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in cooperation with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD). Mr. Ali Fahad Al Nuaimi, ADBC’s Acting CEO stated that ADBC’s new payment services offer wide-ranging solutions to customers, enabling them to pay with credit cards,  prepaid cards or in cash through the National Bank of Abu Dhabi branches at all DED branches in the emirate.  He added that this move is aimed at facilitating the customers’ payment procedures and enabling them to complete all transactions within the required and the shortest possible period of time.“In cooperation with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi,  over 100 e-payment machines were provided at ADBC’s Customer Service counters, where  each employee is provided with one machine to complete payment transactions directly at such counters” Mr. Al Nuaimi explained.  He also pointed out that all the customer service staff members are properly trained on how to use such e-payment machines, which would enable them to handle payment and collection of fees pertaining to commercial licensing transactions without interruption”. Mr. Al Nuaimi went on to say that the multiplicity of solutions to complete commercial licenses transactions, is among the most important goals Abu Dhabi Business Center seeks to achieve, by creating numerous smart, and particularly electronic, solutions. In this respect, he confirmed that ADBC still endeavors to create multiple smart electronic solutions specifically tailored to the needs of the customers, and hence achieve a quantum leap in trade activity procedures at the Emirate level. He explained that this step would boost the Emirate’s competitive stance in the business environment, making it an attractive hub for businessmen and investors in the region. “The new service enables the customers to use credit cards or (e-Dirham) prepaid cards through the ADBC’s customer service staff, in addition to the cash payment service through the National Bank of Abu Dhabi branches at the different DED branches across the Emirate”, said Al Nuaimi. He further explained that credit cards and pre-paid cards can also be used through the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, which offers varied and numerous payment solutions tailored to the needs of all customers. For his part, Mr. Navneet Dave, Head of Cards at National Bank of Abu Dhabi clarified: “ We are delighted to cooperate with Abu Dhabi Business Center to offer state–of–the–art services  that meet the customers’ needs, and we are keen on providing the best e-payment services and cards, and we are also confident that  all branches of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi at the different DED branches in Abu Dhabi will exert their best efforts to provide the customers with the best services”.  Abu Dhabi Business Center sets its sights on offering distinguished services to its customers and beneficiaries, and providing information, support and technical consultancy services to the companies and institutions operating in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the business men.  This would enhance the private sector’s contribution to the overall and sustainable economic development process in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and to the Emirate’s Gross Domestic Product, in line with its economic vision for the year 2030.
