Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development Undersecretary confirms that the national staff are the real bet to achieve the ambitious strategic objectives of Abu Dhabi Government

His Excellency Mohammed Omar Abdullah, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development said that Abu Dhabi Government is betting on achieving its strategic goals of the economic Vision 2030 on national cadres, who will be responsible to take the initiative in the implementation of development projects, ambitious visions and the strategic plans of the emirate, in realization of the aspiration and objectives of our prudent leadership.This came in a speech delivered by H.E the Undersecretary, during a ceremony to honor 74 of talented staff of the Department for the year 2012. Organized today at Rocco Forte Hotel Abu Dhabi. H.E. stressed that  the Department prioritizes  in first  place, the nurturing  of talented and distinguished employees who make a real addition to achieve goals, mission and vision; and  excel in tasks and responsibilities assigned to the, to  take lead  in  achieving goals to attain economic sustainability.H.E. the Undersecretary  stated that the honoring of outstanding employees of the Department, reflects  the commitment to valuing their role during the year  in achieving   occupational goals, efficiency and excellence; and at the  same time emphasizes the orientation  of  Abu Dhabi Government in adopting  the policy of excellence  and high quality performance in work, which contributed  to improving the overall performance of the Department and its surge  towards organizational excellence within the system of  the government of the emirate. H.E said that achieving excellence in job performance, stems from a firm belief that we always strive realize the objectives of the Department of economic Development, and its strategy to accomplish the set ultimate goals; most importantly, the aspiration to be among the best five governments in the world.His Excellency Mohammed Omar Abdullah, in addressing the distinguished employees, praised the accomplishment achieved by staff officers during the past year, saying that it mirrors the excellence of the Department of the Economic Development and its vision as an institution focused on clients, characterized by efficiency in enabling and supporting the Emirate’s economic development and sustainability.HE the Undersecretary urged staff honorees to continue to outclass and achieve the highest degree of excellence, beyond what they had achieved, in order to reach the best career goals, status and leadership, to serve this generous country and accomplish the aspirations of the judicious leadership. H.E. Ghanem Mohamed Alffendi Al Mazrouei, the Executive Director of Support Services Sector said that the staff honorees had   achieved excellence in job evaluation according to the performance program of “Musanada Company”.Al Marzouqi said that the Department had implemented several awareness campaigns for the career evaluation program including the implementation of human resources management for the campaign Your Performance is your Way to Excellence which contributed significantly through the means of internal communication, to clarifying the objectives and the importance of interaction; with aim to educate employees on how to set their career goals and evaluate their achievements and their own abilities to perform tasks assigned to them.Al Mazrouei pointed out that the awareness of staff of their  fullfunctional duties and how to apply  this on  in reality, would  bring about excellence among all employees.It is worth mentioning that (74) employees had won excellence from the  ADDED’s staff,  with (40)  from the Commercial Affairs Sector  , as well as (15) employees from   the Support Services Sector, ( 7) staff from senior management, and (5)  from Planning and Statistics Sector, and (6)  from International  Economic Relations Sector.
