Nasser Al-sowaidi receives a delegation of 23 German parliamentarians

The meeting discussed means to strengthen and develop economic and trade relations and boost investment between Germany and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Areas of focus to develop trade relations and augment investment opportunities included fields of industry, energy, infrastructure and transport; as well as joint ventures between the private sectors in both countries.The meeting was attended by His Excellency Nikolai Van, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UAE, Mr. Dirk Fischer, Mr. Yu Backmeger and Mr. Patrick Doering members of parliament and members of the Federal Commission for Transport and Infrastructure in the German parliament.HE Nasser Al-sowaidi stressed the keenness of the Government of Abu Dhabi to boost economic relations with Germany and strengthen all fields of cooperation, especially in light of the orientation of the two Governments orientations to further bilateral international relations. Al-sowaidi added that the Emirate of Abu Dhabi is seeking to strengthen areas of cooperation with Germany in the areas identified by the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, as the essential foundation for achieving sustainable economic development in the Emirate of Abu dhobi, the most importantly  investments, exchange of expertise and knowledge, alternative energy projects, trade in addition to the  industrial, technical and professional fields, and development of SMEs  among other areas of cooperation.Al-sowaidi called on the German parliamentary delegation to take advantage of the joint agreements that were signed by the two sides, especially those aimed at increasing and promoting investment between the two countries, and most notably the agreement on promotion and protection of investment. HE emphasized the importance of visits of official business delegations, and the organizing of joint activities between the two countries, such as conferences and exhibitions which will contribute to the activation of partnership and opportunities of cooperation between the two sides.For his part, Mr. Dirk Fischer, the member of the German parliament praised the United Arab Emirates United Arab unprecedented achievements at all levels, which placed the country as one of the largest and most important partners of Germany in the Middle East.Mr. Fisher stressed his government's interest in strengthening its relations with the UAE and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and furthering partnership between German companies and their counterparts in the emirate, with its inviting investment climate characterized by the variety of incentives and facilities provided for the business.The German official expressed  his hope that the visit of his country's delegation to the UAE capita, would  result in strengthening  the partnership between the two countries, and opening new horizons of economic, trade, investment and industrial cooperation.
