H.E. Mohammed Omar Abdullah, Undersecretary of Department Economic Development in Abu Dhabi (DED), stressed DED’s keenness to apply the principles of total quality, and provide the best environment for innovation and creative initiatives, which aim to achieve continuous improvement of performance, and achieve ideal institutional development by building internal competencies through making the due investments in human capital . During his participation in the first forum of Employee of the Month, organized by DED last week at Crowne Plaza Yas Hotel in Abu Dhabi His Excellency said that to achieve strategies and ambitious plans for DED, DED needs to uplift its cadres’ capabilities and underpin their professionalism in carrying out the tasks entrusted to them efficiently and effectively in order to achieve the vision and objectives of the DED’s strategy, and to promote its mission by building an effective institution and organization.His E excellency praised the accomplishment achieved by the twelve male and female employees who have won the coveted Employee of the Month award in DED last year 2011, which aims to create positive interaction between DED and its employees who are outstanding and creative, thus contributing to strengthening their sense of belonging, and also encourage and stimulate their creativity skills.It is noteworthy that the Forum also included a number of events, the most important of which was lecture entitled (Employee Motivation) delivered by lecturer Dr. Ibrahim al-Yasi, then a discussion session was held to improve the work mechanisms of the Employee of the Month Committee, headed by Mr. Khalid Mubarak Busaid.The ceremony also included a display of the achievements of staff of the month during 2011, everyone in his respective fields for which they were honored with received as they had distinguished skills and professionalism in the domain of their career.
H.E.
