DED inaugurates western cape forum

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (DED) in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) said investment potentials in Abu Dhabi provides incentives for more South African companies to open business in the emirates and contribute to increasing trade between the UAE and South Africa up from US$14.1 billion by the end of 2008.In his opening remarks at the Abu Dhabi-South African Investment Forum in Abu Dhabi, Executive Director for Business Development at ADCCI Rashid Al Qubaisi said 24 South African companies are operating in the emirate of Abu Dhabi alone. He further urged South African businesses to benefit from the political stability, economic openness and the strategic location of the UAE and tap the opportunities made available by the growing economy of Abu Dhabi which embarked on the Abu Dhabi Vision 2030, a strategic economic plan involving different economic sectors.
