The Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi , in its bid to empower its stakeholders to achieve the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Western Region Development Council. H.E. Mohammed Omar Abdulla, Under Secretary of the Department of Economic Development, and H.E. Mohammed Hamad Bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, the Director General of the Council signed the MOU on Thursday 28th of October at the Headquarters of the Department of Economic Development in the presence of senior officials and executives from both entities. His Excellency Mohammed Omar Abdullah, stated: “ This Memorandum of Understanding reflects the importance to activate all the components of the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, and especially the sustainable economic development in all regions of the emirate, which goes in line with the aspirations of our wise leadership towards achieving maximum levels of cooperation and partnership between the various parties to this vision”. He also pointed out that “Such an agreement would strengthen the presence of the Department in the Western Region, and ease the level of doing business to the businessmen and investors in that region and respond to their needs and requirements. this agreement will give preferential advantages to the western region in our promotional activities especially export promotion and investment attraction”.
