Abu Dhabi and China Economic Forum generates significant interest among Abu Dhabi business leaders and policy makers

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Institutional Investor Conferences announced today the details of the inaugural Abu Dhabi and China Economic Forum, scheduled for 31 May at the Sheraton Shanghai Hotel Residences, Pudong. The Forum will discuss and highlight the extensive trade and investment opportunities that exist between China and Abu Dhabi. The forum will focus on investment opportunities in the key sectors driving the economic diversification process and create networking opportunities for Chinese investors with Abu Dhabi’s key industry leaders, financial intermediaries and top-level policy makers. H.E. Nasser Ahmed Alsowaidi, Chairman, Department of Economic Development will open the Forum and lead the delegation of Abu Dhabi policy makers and business leaders. Commenting on this forum, H.E. Nasser Ahmed Alsowaidi said: “The Abu Dhabi and China Economic Forum comes as a proactive response to the renewed interest demonstrated by international investors in Abu Dhabi’s Economic Vision 2030 and its byproducts, especially the industrial and infrastructure projects”.He added: “we are confident that this will be another successful forum, as we have built it around the success of the previous Abu Dhabi Investment Forums held in London with our partners the Institutional investor Conferences”.Through interactive panel discussions and presentations, the Abu Dhabi and China Economic Forum, will feature debates and discussions on key topics including:  Building on Trade and Investment Opportunities, The Capital Markets, Developing High-Tech Capacity, Meeting Demand for Industry, Integrated Transport and Infrastructure Capacity, and Strategic Partnerships in Energy. This landmark event will be supported by the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Lead Sponsors include HSBC, Invest AD, National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Standard Chartered and ZonesCorp.
