ADED Chief meets Singaporean, Japanese trade officials

Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADED) Naser Ahmed Al Suwaidi met in Abu Dhabi with Singapore's Minister at Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister of Trade '' Industry S Iswaran, and discussed with him bilateral cooperation between Abu Dhabi Emirate and Singapore. Al Suwaidi stressed the keenness of the emirate to bolster trade and investment ties and to set up strategic partnership with Singapore. Iswaran said that the strong bilateral ties between UAE and Singapore presents the world countries with a good model of international relations. He noted that the UAE is one of the major trade partners of Singapore because of its prime economic position in the Middle East.On another level, Al Suwaidi met with Mitsuyoshi Yanagisawa, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan(METI) and held talks with him on a number of economic issues of common interest. They also exchanged views on creating ideal environment for setting up business partnerships and investment opportunities.
